The wildfire in Slovenia’s Karst region is active again. It was brought under control on Monday, but new fires have broken out in the Miren-Opatje Selo area. The fire has now spread to the Italian border and firefighters are at the scene. Fires also reported at several locations on the Italian side, where several roads and railway connections are closed. Another challenge firefighters face is a lack of water. Slovenia's Civil Protection says all the hydrants in the area are empty, and that water is being transported from nearby areas.
