Last year, Ljubljana Castle had over a million visitors, which is more than double compared to the previous two years, both affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Sales of tickets for the funicular that takes visitors to the Castle Hill also more than doubled.

The share of foreign visitors increased to above 70%, with the largest number of foreigners coming from Croatia, Austria, Hungary, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, the UK and the US.
