The foundation stone for the new premises was laid in July 2007. Construction stopped shortly thereafter because of various problems. One of them was that the hospital beds did not fit in the elevators.

There is still more on the way. The plan is to also build a new lab and renovate the pediatric, trauma and surgery units.
