The city of Maribor launched its own bicycle-sharing system today called Mbajk. It will feature 21 bicycle docking stations with 210 bicycles spread across Slovenia's second biggest city.
The system will officially open after the May Day holidays. Users will have to pay a yearly registration fee of 3 euros and the first hour of each rental will be free. The Maribor municipality described the bicycle-sharing system as a practical and environmentally friendly addition to the existing public transport system in the city.
