The Slovenian government decided last night that face mask will no longer be required for schoolchildren in their classrooms. Dr. Mateja Logar from the Department of infectious diseases in Ljubljana said that the measure currently makes sense because children used to wear only one mask for 6 hours of classes and that in these cases the masks didn’t give adequate protection anymore, since they should have been exchanged with new masks in-between. Higher education and university teachers will also not be required to wear masks provided they hold lectures from behind a protective screen.
