The opposition will initiate a no confidence motion against Education Minister Simona Kustec.
The SD Social Democrats, the List of Marjan Šarec, the Alenka Bratušek Party and the Left will file a motion to vote minister Kustec out of office. They argue that two weeks before the start of the new school year, it's still not clear how the education process will be organized if the Covid-19 situation deteriorates.
Today, two weeks before the start of the new school year, Slovenia's Covid-19 advisory body called on schools to put in place ventilation systems to reduce the spread of Covid-19.
Meanwhile Minister Kustec, who was fully vaccinated against Covid-19, has tested positive for Covid-19 and will be in self-isolation for 10 days.
