President of the Pensioners' Party Aleksandra Pivec has tendered her resignation today.
But she said that she would run for president again when the party holds an election congress.
Pivec, who is also the current Agriculture minister, offered her resignation to the party's executive committee just before the council was set to vote on her dismissal. The committee has accepted her resignation.
Pivec has come under fire for mixing official and private business on two trips within the country.
