The State Secretary at the Health Ministry, Valentina Prevolnik Rupel, has been put forward as a candidate for new Health Minister. The decision was announced today by the ruling Freedom Movement, and PM Robert Golob already sent her nomination to Parliament today. Prevolnik Rupel is also a member of the strategic council for health at the Prime Minister's office.
After thorough consideration, Prevolnik Rupel said she accepts the nomination and is convinced that in the remaining 2,5 years of the mandate she will be capable of achieving results. The previous minister, Bešič Loredan, resigned in July, and since then the ministry has been run by PM Golob.
