This marks the day when the Prekmurje region was united with the rest of the nation in 1919.
The Presidential Palace will be open to the public today.
Prekmurje Reunification Day has been celebrated since 2006, although not as a work-free day. A national ceremony is organized every five years. Local municipalities organize celebrations in between.
