One person from the north-east of the country who did not know was infected has tested positive for the novel coronavirus. The discovery was part of a random population Covid-19 testing campaign.

The testing, which was launched on Monday, is expected will take at least until Thursday to complete.

Meanwhile, the three Slovenian soldiers serving in the NATO-led mission in Kosovo who were diagnosed with Covid-19 were brought home today and will be accommodated at a healthcare facility.

According to government data released today, Slovenia recorded eight new coronavirus cases yesterday. Almost 800 tests were carried out. One person died, bringing the total death toll to 82. 80 people are hospitalized, with 23 of them in intensive care.
