Slovenian cyclist Primož Roglič will be aiming for victory in today's final stage of the Criterium du Dauphine, which starts just after 1 p.m.

He narrowly missed out on victory in yesterday's first tough mountain stage of the weekend but took over the race leader's yellow jersey from teammate Wout van Aert. The stage was won by Carlos Verona after a long breakaway.

Today's stage is also a tough 138 km in the mountains, incorporating two Category 1 climbs, including the famous Col de la Colombiere.

The last stage of the Dauphine also coincides with the last day of the annual Franja cycling marathon around Ljubljana and the wider region.

The main event, the 156 km long race, started at 9 a.m. with the shorter but still challenging 97 km race beginning at 10.40 a.m.

An awards ceremony for the winners will take place at around 4 p.m.
