Grims was pushed down stairs while he was going to a car park across the street from parliament. The unknown person also spat on him.

The assault was also condemned by an NGO whose head was assaulted in Ljubljana on Tuesday.

The police are investigating the assaults and the government has announced action to curb and prevent hate speech.
