The second batch of the novel coronavirus vaccine has arrived in Slovenia.
It contains 6,825 shots.
The Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine is primarily aimed for hospital and nursing home staff and residents. According to Marta Grgič Vitek, the national vaccination coordinator at the National Institute of Public Health, the most vulnerable groups are being vaccinated first, in order to protect them as soon as possible.
Slovenia started its vaccination campaign on Sunday after receiving the first shipment of almost 10,000 shots of the vaccine.
