Slovenia and Croatia will sign an agreement tomorrow on sharing services.
People living just across the border in the Croatian region of Istria will be allowed to use emergency medical services at the Izola general hospital, with expenses paid for by the Croatian public health insurance fund.
The objective is to provide better access to emergency services and hospital treatment for people in northern Istria in need of urgent medical help.
Istria is home to some 320,000 people and during the summer tourist season the number of people doubles.
