Slovenia climbed 33 positions on the 2018 Index of Economic Freedom group, that is being annually issued by the Heritage Foundation and the business newspaper Wall Street Journal. Slovenia has now ranked 64th among 180 countries and 31st among 44 European countries. The leading countries on the list are Hong Kong, Singapore, and New Zealand.
