Slovenia marks Primož Trubar Day, a day which marks the birth of the founder of Slovenian language.
Trubar was a key figure of the protestant movement in the 16th century in present-day Slovenia, and wrote the first book in Slovene language.
President Pahor held an open day at the Presidential Palace today, honouring Trubar for writing the first printed book in Slovene, and giving the nation a language.
Associations carrying Trubar's name made a call today for more of his books to be published and be made available to the public.
