The heavy and wet snow however wreaked havoc on morning traffic on highways and around urban areas. It also broke tree branches and caused power outages.

There were also reports of difficulties in Austria and Croatia.

Precipitation is again forecast to increase this evening, but it won't be as plentiful as this morning.
