Slovenia recorded 43 new coronavirus cases yesterday. It also conducted more testing than usual, carrying out 1,708 tests. One person infected with the coronavirus also died yesterday.
There are 505 active coronavirus cases in Slovenia, which is around 0,02% of the population.
The wearing of face masks is mandatory in all closed spaces and on public transport. Health inspectors say they will no longer issue warnings to those breaking the rules, but fine them on the spot. Fines for not wearing masks range between 400 and 4,000 euros.
