The new acting head of the STA, Igor Kadunc, and the director of the Government Communications Office, Uroš Urbanija, have signed an agreement to fund the news agency until the end of the year. After more than 300 days without any state funding, the STA should now receive EUR 2 million euros for this year. Mr. Urbanija from the government office said according to the law all of STA's content should be made available to users free of charge. The acting head of the STA said the issue will be addressed and that a new business plan for next year will be prepared.
