School and kindergarten teachers will start a general strike on March 9.
Members of the teachers' trade union overwhelmingly endorsed the strike.
The union is demanding higher pay for teaching and non-teaching staff alike plus bonuses for extra work connected with the Covid-19 pandemic.
Schools will shut down when the strike starts and will remain closed until the union has reached a strike agreement with the government.
