As of today, Slovenian residents are free to travel outside their municipality of residence.

Physical distancing in public places, wearing masks and the use of hand sanitizer in closed public spaces is still in force. Gatherings of groups of people outside the same household also remain prohibited.

As of today, visits to homes for the elderly are again possible, but under strict safety rules. That's according to an announcement made by Janez Cigler Kralj, the minister in charge of social affairs. Plans to relax public passenger transport on May 11, as well as dental services are also in the making.

Education and Sports Minister Simona Kustec yesterday also announced schools and kindergartens in Slovenia will gradually start reopening on May 18. Only the youngest and oldest students will return to classrooms. The other students will end the year at home.
