Health Minister Janez Poklukar said today that the state will cover the testing of those working in the education and health sectors, in social care institutions, retail, the organization of events and also for those working in the field of religious freedoms. Those already vaccinated against Covid-19 will not have to be tested.
The state will also cover the self-testing of pupils in the last three grades of primary schools, and also fund the self-testing of high-school students. The state-secretary at the Ministry of Health Damir Orehovec said the new school year will begin under model B, with the wearing of masks inside schools, the proper ventilation of classrooms and regular disinfection. In addition, everyone else wishing to enter a school will have to fulfill one of the PCT conditions. The self-testing for all school-going children remains voluntary.
