Protesters stormed the headquarters of public broadcaster RTV Slovenija last night. Around 20 protesters managed to get into the newsroom studio. They were later escorted outside by the police. Prior to the incident the group had been protesting against the Covid-19 measures and vaccines in front of the RTV building for four months demanding air time. The protesters accuse the public broadcaster of not reporting the truth.
RTV director Andrej Grah Whatmough condemned the incident, adding that everything would be done to prevent such incidents from happening in the future. He said RTV Slovenija would strengthen the security of its buildings and hoped the incident would make authorities listen to their concerns.
PM Janez Janša and Interior Minister Aleš Hojs have also condemned the incident.
