The floods have claimed at least 10 lives in the last 24 hours. The situation in Obrenovac is the most critical. Evacuation is still ongoing in the completely flooded city. The river Sava broke the 100m dam in the town of Obrenovac and the first bodies are being pulled out of the floodwater.

The water level of the river Sava is expected to rise up to 6,5m by tomorrow in the town of Šabac. More than 15 000 people have so far been evacuated from the most dangerous areas in Serbia. Last might, 88 thousand households were without electricity and more than 1500 buildings were flooded. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, the situation is most dire in the north of the country, where more than 5000 buildings are flooded. The water level of the river Sava has risen in eastern Croatia and there is a danger of floods in Slavonija.

Slovenia has sent aid to Serbia in the form of slit pumps, 20 members of civil protection. It also sent 2 unites with rescue boats, 12 members of civil protection, an army helicopter with its crew and a police helicopter with two crews to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
