Members of the Slovenian Armed Forces who in mid-November came to help with rising Covid hospitalisations in some of the country hospitals have wrapped up their aid work.

According to the Defence Ministry, the hospital centres have assessed that there was no longer a need for their assistance.

A total of 40 members of military medical teams have provided assistance at two major hospitals, UKC Ljubljana and UKC Maribor, as well as, several other hospitals.

The number of patients in the Maribor hospital was decreasing, according to reports, so the hospital closed two Covid units already, and is planning to close another one on Monday.
