The government approved a bill aimed at providing additional funds for arts and culture in the 2020 to 2026 period. The funds will be designated for some of the most urgent areas, like cultural heritage and purchases of contemporary artworks. The bill will ensure even development and access to culture and implementation of most underfunded programs. Restoration of Slovenian music, film, and dance heritage will also get additional funds, as well as areas of amateur and youth culture.
