She knew that she had confirmed at least 2nd place before the final jump by home favourite Anna Odine Stroem.

However, Klinec's huge second round jump - the longest of the competition - meant that Stroem's effort of 120m was only enough for 3rd place, having led after the first round.

Chiara Kreuzer of Austria crept into the silver medal position with two consistent jumps of 126 and 122m.

Klinec currently leads Stroem in the overall RAW Competition standings by 10 points.

Later in the day, Anže Lanišek finished 2nd in the Large Hill Men's Competition to cap an excellent weekend for Slovenia's ski jumpers after his victory on Saturday.
