Following last week's protest by farmers, changes have been agreed to facilitate the culling of bears and wolves, after the parliament passed a law in June ordering an emergency culling.

Almost 13,500 signatures were handed over to the Environment and Spatial Minister Simon Zajc, who was being urged by the farmers to resign. Zajc has rejected the petition.

The Farmer's Trade Union continues with the pressure on the government, by announcing new protests, until their demands are met. On Tuesday, they are scheduled to meet the PM and the Agriculture minister.
