Outgoing Foreign Minister Miro Cerar is on a two-day official visit to Turkey. He called for confidence-building between the EU and Turkey, also in the fight against illegal migration. He backed Turkey's EU membership provided conditions are met. The talks with Turkish foreign minister Cavusoglu focused mainly on strengthening bilateral relations. Cerar described relations with Turkey as friendly and talks with Cavusoglu as constructive. Turkish Foreign Minister Cavosoglu regularly attends the Bled Strategic Forum.
