The winner of the Kresnik Prize for best novel of the year will be announced today on Rožnik Hill.
Five nominees are shortlisted to receive the award.
The nominees are the books Stubs, Agni, Chicken Shepherd, On the Other Side of the World, and Storyteller.
Two of the nominated novels are debuts. Two have been previously nominated.
Last year the Kresnik Prize went to Veronika Simoniti for the novel Ivana Before the Sea.
