The minister of labour, the family, and social affairs, Janez Cigler Kralj survived a no-confidence vote. The outbreak of Covid-19 in care homes was at the centre of the debate in the National Assembly.
Some opposition MPs accused the minister of neglect, but Cigler Kralj pointed to years of underfunding and understaffing. 38 members of parliament voted for his dismissal, 44 voted against.
