This year the festival, organized by the Slovene Writers Association, was focused on the question "How far away is home"? 14 authors from 12 countries attended the festival. The main award of the festival, which will be presented tonight at the award ceremony in the cave Vilenica near the city Lokva, will be awarded to Latvian poet Amanda Aizpuriete. Meanwhile the Vilenica Christal an award the Vilenica International Literary Festival gives to one of the authors featured in the festival's collection of poems or texts will go to Northern Irish poet Gail McConnell.
