The fire on the other side of its highest peak Trstelj is said to be spreading towards the peak's direction.

Firefighters were putting out flames at the site of the huge wildfire in the area for the third night running after the fire was contained yesterday.

Spanning around 20 hectares, the fire that broke out today is being controlled by 180 firefighters and two army helicopters, according to Blaž Turk, the head of the intervention.

He said that the fire was currently localized, but that they still have 100m left on the northwestern side.

The fire that was contained yesterday, destroyed more than 3,500 hectares of brush, meadows and other types of farmland.
