Hosting a political summit on nuclear energy, Slovenian PM Robert Golob said all five parliamentary parties agreed for a referendum on a second nuclear reactor to be held this year. PM Golob gave the statement following today’s political summit on the long-term use of nuclear energy. He said there was consensus among all five parties to take concrete steps towards the construction of a new nuclear reactor. The new reactor would replace the current one at the Krško Nuclear Power Station when its extended lifespan ends in 2043.
