The reason for this are rules of the European funds. The change will affect the neighbouring municipality of Kamnik.
By this Kamnik would have a direct border with Austria and as a consequence the whole region of Central Slovenia would be eligible for Euroepan crosss- border funding.
This change would enable Slovenia to gain some 20 million EUROS more of INTERREG-funds.
