Normally, he would hold the blessing on Saint Peter’s Square with worshipers attending the celebrations. For example, last year over 70.000 people were on the square.
In the blessing he empathised the current situation, coronavirus and all people who are working in healthcare, police and other aid services.
He also emphasised the European Union as a decisive factor for the future of humankind as a whole.
