Darko Jorgić won Slovenia's 6th ever medal in table tennis at the European Championships, with silver in Munich today.

He lost today's final to Germany's Dang Qui but it's still the best ever showing for a Slovenian player and the country's first table tennis medal at the championships since Bojan Tokić won bronze in 2011.

Jorgić said that if someone had told him before the tournament that he would finish 2nd at the European Championships, he would have taken it.

Earlier in the day, Anja Osterman added to the silver medal she won in the 200m race on Saturday with bronze in the of 500m race, which is an Olympic discipline.

After a photo finish, she was upgraded from 4th to 3rd and a share of the bronze medal alongside Denmark's Emma Jorgensen.

Anna Paulawska of Poland and Estzer Rendessy of Hungary won gold and silver, respectively.

Jošt Zakrajšek finished 6th in the men's 5000m final, which had been postponed from Saturday.
