Slovenia has canceled an art exhibition in the European parliament in Brussels. Presenting art has been a tradition there for the past ten years.
The Koroška Fine Arts Gallery said it had been preparing the exhibition but did not know why the ministry canceled it.
The newspaper Delo reported that according to unofficial sources the exhibition was cancelled because the Culture Minister disapproved of the selection.
The exhibition was supposed to open around July 10, when the current display dedicated to Portugal's EU presidency is scheduled to close.
