A memorial service was held at the Žale cemetery in Ljubljana to remember those who have died from Covid-19. One of the aims of the services was to express compassion with their relatives. The main speaker at the event was President Borut Pahor. Primer minister Janša, Parliamentary Speakter Igor Zorčič and other dignitaries attended the event as well.
Further, a willow tree was planted as a sign of both mourning and a celebration of life. The memorial service was held exactly one year after the first person with Covid-19 died in Slovenia.
