The Krško nuclear plant (NEK), the only nuclear power station in Slovenia, was reconnected to the grid last night. Officials say the plant is only running at 28% capacity, but that its performance will gradually increase. The power station was shut down on October 6th after a minor leakage. The leak posed no threat to nuclear safety, but the plant was nevertheless shut down as a precaution until the pipeline in question was replaced.
