Health minister Janez Poklukar announced that Slovenia has decided to resume the use of the AstraZeneca's Covid-19 vaccine.

It comes after the European Medicines Agency assessed the vaccine "safe and effective" after a review of possible blood clot risks, the STA reports.

On Monday, Slovenia briefly suspended the use of the vaccine after reports of blood clots resulted into many countries across Europe to stop the vaccination pending another review.

The government announced on Twitter that senior officials would be among the first to get the jab.
