The first invitations to cooperate in a national study to determine the prevalence of Covid-19 have been sent to 3000 randomly selected Slovenians. This study is first of its kind in Slovenia and will be led by the Institute of Microbiology and Immunology in Ljubljana. Miroslav Petrovec head of the Institute encourages the selected people to cooperate in the research, as this could encourage faster loosening of restrictions and return to normal life. Meanwhile, Slovenia's official Covid-19 death toll has increased to 74 after four more fatalities were recorded yesterday and the number of confirmed coronavirus cases rose to a total of 1,330. A total of 90 Covid-patients were being treated in hospitals yesterday, 26 of them in intensive care units, which is less than on Friday.
