Restaurants and cafes in two regions here will be able to open terraces and gardens tomorrow morning as part of a 1-week trial.

It follows a similar reopening in Croatia last Monday.

It will now be possible to serve customers in the Posavska and Jugovzhodna regions from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day.

The Economy Minister, Zdravko Počivalšek, said that the premises would be closed if the number of Coronavirus infections rose or if inspectors found anyone breaking COVID safety rules.

Tables will have to be kept 3m apart with a maximum of four customers per table, maintaining a distance between them of at least 1.5m.

The number of customers allowed at any cafe will depend on the size of the establishment.
