Foreign Minister Karl Erjavec has rejected demands of the Defence Trade Union for higher pay for soldiers stationed at the Slovenian military installation at Trdinov vrh. Trdinov vrh is a border peak that the arbitration tribunal has granted to Croatia. Slovenia started implementing the Slovenian-Croatian border arbitration award yesterday. However, the status of the Trdinov vrh post will not change before the handover, because the protocol for the handover of military installations dictates that Slovenian troops must stay at the installation until Croatian troops take over their posts. But Croatia will not cooperate as it continues to reject the arbitration.
