Abe said that Slovenia was interesting to Japan, since it is a member of the EU and NATO and has good relations with all countries of the Western Balkans.

On the last day of this two-day visit to Japan, Pahor also visited the High Energy Accelerator Research Organization near Tokyo, where he met the KEK institute director-general and Slovenian scientists, who have been involved in an antimatter project there.

Yesterday, Pahor attended Emperor Naruhito's enthronement ceremony.
