The organization is best known for its campaigns to protect whales and drawing attention to global warming as well as the danger in the use of nuclear energy. The Greenpeace headquarters are in Amsterdam.
In 1980, at the University Clinical Center the president of the then Yugoslavia Josip Broz Tito dies. In 1945, he became the first and also for life President of Yugoslavia.
