In the last year, as part of the shows #Green Generation - Young Village Folk, stories of young people have been created, which prove how innovative ideas and how much energy young people who produce food have for us. In order for young people to be able to pass on their ideas to responsible decision-makers, we gathered at the tourist farm Urška and exchanged our ideas with the Slovenian Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Food - dr. Jože Podgoršek. Music band Koala Voice, whose single 'Ker tu je vse tako lepo' can be heard at the beginning of each #Green Generation / Young Village Folk show, made sure we enjoyed the day in a beautiful ambience.

Without the app developed by E-Agronomists, Maik would not be able to control all activities on 4,000 hectares of land.

He opened a fruit and vegetable store in Oristan, so that he could follow the wishes of customers and improve sales promotion.

Mauro and Giuseppe are friends and partners who decided to set up their own brewery while chatting over a beer a few years ago. And so the Sardinian beer brand based on sustainable production and circular management, Marduk, was born. In the Bronze Age, the island of Sardinia was inhabited by the god Marduk, who embodied the light of the sun and the power of the bull. Today, the brewery already produces six different types of beer and is developing a circular management model with new products.

Martin finished his studies of agriculture, brought a mobile chicken coop to the farm, opened a barn for visitors to the farm during milking, writes and publishes a blog entitled "Stories from the yard" about everything that happens on the farm and how he thinks.

Viktoria Hutter is a young forester and takeover of a farm with 45 hectares of forest in Upper Austria. Last May, she brought together local forest owners and local entrepreneurs into a young tree planting project. Together they organize work campaigns, so far they have planted about 4,000 trees. Their goal is to plant a million seedlings of forest trees by 2030. In the forested area of Lower Austria, as many as 20,000 hectares of forest have had to be cleared in the last five years due to the gopher, which is rapidly multiplying due to the higher average air temperature.

He invited Ines, a graduate engineer of agronomy, to participate in the production of vegetables. In Križ near Zagreb, a new company of young people who produce food was created. Matija Cetinić Franko was a top athlete, a rower, with qualifications for the Olympic Games. Today he is engaged in producing berries, and the Berry Organica cooperative was created by 10 other like-minded people who also had no experience in agriculture.

His mother helped him with the development of taste and showed him the importance of finding the correct cognac mixtures. Tradition of his family does not constrain him only to cognac production, but nevertheless he still greatly enjoys in the creativity of cognac production.

After completing her Master’s degree, Ivana has started her career in a company called Vesela motika (ang. Happy hoe), which develops new digital technologies and business models in the field of food production. She is now growing sprouts, called “microgreense”, spices and different seedlings in the building of a former dancing school near Zagreb food market. When possible, she is also joined by a colleague Roberta, who is pursuing her PhD in the field of sprouts production. Another member of the young team is Lorena, an agronomy student. The founder of Vesela motika, Sergej Lukovič, profesor at the Zagreb University, economist and financial expert, musician and an IT specialist, is convinced that the young can greatly contribute to innovation in food production in closed spaces.

He is a frequent visitor of the Milanese food market. He likes to stress an example, where large multinational companies offer only one or two kinds of salat in their stores, even though there are hundreds of different kinds available on earth. In his opinion this affects the biodiversity on the planet, which he supports by using a diverse range of produce in his restaurant. Daniel also has a clear message to farmers: “Be entrepreneurs, even if you offer only a small box of delicious carrots, you should proud of you produce and achievement.”
