The decision of the Administrative Court in Vienna is the epilogue of a year-long legal dispute of a Carinthian Slovene against the municipality of Škocjan. The municipality or mayors have since 2003 refused to issue a decision on the fees in Slovenian although Slovenian is the official language there.
The Court has now ruled in favor of the plaintiff, which was represented by a lawyer, Carinthian Slovenian Rudi Vouk. Otherwise the decisions by the municipality of Škocjan were requested by a total of 12 households.
