Among them are three banks from Slovenia Nova ljubljanska banka, Nova kreditna banka Maribor and Unicredit banka Slovenije.

This means that instead of Slovenia’s Central Bank, Banka Slovenije, all licences concerning banking services, as well as penalties and measures in connection with crisis management will be issued by the European Central Bank. This is the first step towards a European banking union.
