In late June, Slovenia’s gross foreign debt stood at 44.9 billion euros. Net debt fell by 2.6 billion year-on-year to 13 billion euros.

In the first six months of 2014, Slovenia took out 4.3 billion euros in loans. In the first six months of 2015, the country did not issue government securities. As a result, Slovenia’s debt in government securities dropped by 2.3 billion euros. In 2015, the public sector took out an additional 800 million euros worth of loans.
